As for the RBC, I'm not sure who checks the stats, but I've been inactive most of the year and just had two email invites in the past week for a project in the next town.

Funny how much has changed in two years. Back then I was giddy about getting my RBC assignment and couldn't wait to volunteer my time.

I just watched it and when once your eyes have been opened you can laugh at how utterly ridiculous this film is.

My teenager heard a short portion from the other room and thought it was an SNL spoof of a JW life. I had to show her it was legitimate.

I think it's worth watching just to recognize the logical fallacies and cognitive dissonance in action. My daughter is going to watch it this weekend when I'm out of town and then we are going to point out the logical fallacies (still learning :)

these days my jw past stay safely under wraps from nearly everyone.. i dont dig it up- and i see no need to talk about it with anyone.. sometimes i feel as if my past is a large and terrible secret, and i will be found out eventually.

people can sense i am different.

i never talk about my family.. i guess people chalk it up to being a private person or let me be a mystery.. however, there is one thing that i feel completely reveals me as having been raised a jehovahs witness:.

Sunday was my "first" birthday and my work team took me out and had the party hats and a birthday girl sash.

Dinner involved JW oddities being discussed.

Did I really fall for this nonsense when I was younger? This organization really is only cut out for nuclear families. While they did portray the dad as at least being more sympathetic and reasonable, it was ruined by the daffy, emotional mother. The older brother has anger management issues that are quite alarming. Yet, neither parent thinks this is an issue to address.

Overall, it is just so unrealistic.
